Rising Star introduces teenagers to the FCE through carefully graded exam-type tasks and motivates them to learn through stimulating and up-to-date material. Student’s Book contains 15 topic-based units which are divided into easy-to-use sections. Each unit covers one of a wide variety of interesting topics chosen to appeal to teenage learners. The comprehensive grammar syllabus is clearly presented and followed by systematic controlled and free practice, often using Use of English paper-type tasks. Vocabulary sections expand students' knowledge, with special attention given to word formation, collocations and phrasal verbs. Reading and listening skills are practised and developed through graded FCE tasks. The lively speaking sections include useful language boxes that help stimulate and support oral production. Students are given special guidance to take them through the writing process with staged tasks, model answers and useful language boxes. The reference section includes a grammar reference section set out in an easy-to-use table format, a writing reference section and a phrasal verb dictionary. Practice Book with Answers: Systematic consolidation of the vocabulary and grammar presented in the Student's Book. Thorough practice of the Use of English paper and also contains extra reading tasks that follow the FCE format. Teacher’s Book comes with Answers to the Practice Book and to the Test Booklet tasks as well.
